Not imPossumable

A curious possum visits my yard, one night in August of last year. He decided to climb the terris covered in blue wisteria vines. Not sure if its the same possum but we usually get one every so often. Its probably due to the old propane barbecue covered in decades of rotisserie grease. I really don't know why, there is always an issue with getting things clean around here or to even have modern enmities but it is the ways it is. I really don't understand much about this life and family of mine even after living with them a life time. I just shake my head and just go on with my sometimes confusing and complicated life. But at least moments like these take some of the sting out of it doesn't it? Always nice to get some unusual moments you don't see every day.

Anyways here's some pics of this curious fellow. My cat was there too. But he usually doesn't do anything and just watches our strange pouched company. If anything he just wonders when will our company leave so he can leave his mark on his many scratching posts. 😜😸

Got geese?

Its almost spring! Hooray! OK its a few weeks from now but who cares!
Anyways here's some more spring related pics of a couple of geese perusing the neighborhood in I think 2018. Not exactly top notch imagery but still fun. They remind me of lawn ornaments only they fertilize people front lawns. 😜😁 These were taken in my neighbourhood and they just went from house to house eating the finest lawn grass. They seem well mannered and adjusted. There were a few times where they seem to beg the neighbours across the street for food. I think it was my dad's fault. He did hand feed them a few times.

Dad's Chair Monstrosity

Presenting my dad's unholy union between a former 1988's van chair and a discarded broken probably peed on former office chair, now in this wonderful red neck concoction.  OK its kind of neat, it sort of looks like the captains chair from StarTrekNG but if you ask me looks a bit dangerous.  Oh yeah he put it together last year. And he keeps it in my studio only because he feels the need to share his stuff in there since the old Commodore 64 is in there for his old chess enjoyment. 😑

Possum picknick

A little late in posting this but better late then never.
Now two late summers ago. Actually it was the same year we had that flood, we had a little visitor at night. I had gone outside to take care of a few things and probably to savoir some of the grapes we have growing all around the yard. My favorite are the grapes growing on the vines hanging on our little shed closest to my birds outdoor aviary/cages. Those are simply the best tasting grapes in my opinion to all the grapes my parents planted around the property. Apparently the animals think so too. Like this possum who I caught with a camera making a pig of him self. You can just see him and his grape filled muzzle going to town on all this fruity green goodness.

Tail end. 😉😊

Its feeding time for Meetso

" I came out of my jungle. Now feed me. "
It was a hot summer day when I took this last year, and was still pretty warm when Meetso's internal dinner bell rang. That was usually at the end of the day when I met him in his usual all day hiding spot where he can get away from the heat and keep an eye out for any unsuspecting tasty critters that went by. It is the small area of bushes near the fenced in garden. Its a mini garden but you get lots out of it. The bars make the bushes look like a small habitat for a tiger in a zoo or at least that's the impression I get from the image I took above.

At this point the sun was getting low so the backgrounds of the images look more dark then I would like them. But the colours on my kitty still look alright. Meetso sits on the edge of a wood plank for awhile on the garden, half asleep and thinks about his next move.

Can't get enough of his lovely fur covered back and his wonderful white spot.
Oh and if your wondering about his tail, well for some reason he gave it a hair cut. He literally plucked some of the hair on his tail to make it look like that. Not really sure why but it might just be easier to clean in the summer since he does shed copious amounts during that time.
He also plucked his tail again this year too.
It gives his tail the lion tail look.

" Huh? I thought we were getting food?  "

At this point I think Meetso was getting a little tired of all the picture taking but he's just so darn cute.

 " So um food?  "

Just another shot of his cute face.

" Sigh.......The things I do for food.  "

Yeah eventually my cute fluffy big boy got his numnums. But not before I took just one more pic. 😉😀

Ogling the bunny

More of last years pics, yeah I know. But then they're perfectly appropriate for this time of year even though we're technically still in winter. But hay its only a few months before spring.
One day Meetso spotted his favorite subject matter. Nature and food television, only real life. Fresh rabbets happen to be one of his most favorite meals aside from smelts, tuna and shrimp. It was raining that day so you can just make out the gentle rain drops falling that the camera captured. So the lighting wasn't that great, but you can still make out all the things that were happening.

Took a few quick pics of Meetso too. After awhile he kind of got annoyed of all the attention and wanted back in.  But then it could have been that the bunny decided to move on and then there's the rain.
That's our front yard on the corner of our street. A great place to find bunny's in their favourite territory. And no doubt probably lots of Pokemon Go too. 😉

Till next time. Spring can't come fast enough.  😉😸

Not Taking Crap

Saw this sign last August on one of my walks. Pretty sure the sign was made by a lady. So I'm assuming it was. So lets just say this lady, was apparently tired of taking the crap from irresponsible owners and their dogs. I guess people kind of bagged the little steaming piles of stinky treasure after little darling dogs finished with their duties and then indiscriminately flung the little poo bags any which way. Kind of rude? Yep!
So the sign lady, again I don't know who this person is, even went as far as stapling some of the brown booty on the sign as to make a disgusting embellishment. I sure wouldn't touch those but then being cheesed off can make people do crazy things.
I'm pretty sure she'll put up the sign again like she did 2 years in a row. Hummm...

None the less this is some pretty funny crap.  :D

A summer mantis

Spring is pretty much here. Soon you'll hear the little pitter-patter of little insect feet. In fact you might have already noticed some have coming out already. Like ants and little spiders. But then many of you can care less, let alone like insects and other bugs. But I like them, well except for things like mosquitoes, fleas and ticks. I find those annoying.

Anyways here are some pics from last summer of a little cannibalistic insect called the praying mantis. Well it wasn't that little so I'm pretty sure it was an immature female, since they are much bigger then their smaller and taster male partner. I think she was a stage off from being a full fledged flier.

I originally found her crawling up the outside wall near the bathroom of our house so she was obviously easy to see. That green colour of hers really stood out from the orange brick wall.
So after I was finished looking at her natural insect beauty I left her in our garden on some lettuces. She does make a really great guard insect against those potential pests who would easily take over the garden if not controlled. If you're wondering I didn't take pics of her right away until I found her again on a little citrus plant in a pot a few days later. I'm pretty sure it was the same one since this one could not fly either. Guess she liked it here in our back yard cause she stayed there pretty long.

Again I don't have a great camera so I use what ever I have. I only use these pics for reference any how for my art work and what not.

2015

Well its 2015 and already we have all kind of crazy calamities mostly by people. What a non-surprise.  When are people as a society going to grow up from our childish ways? Childish as in being such as still exhibiting primitive behavior only one-up from acting like animals who by the way, live mostly by impulse. When are we going to stop living by the sword, dieing by the sword?
Don't you realize that two wrongs don't make a right? Harsh words and actions are like a sword but kind words are like a useful kind gift to soothe the heart. Really tired of stupid.

On a lighter note I'd like to share this wonderful calendar I got one time on a Friday just before the holidays finished. It came with my Chinese take out. Thought it was chocolates at first but as you know well they're not big on chocolates. Opened it up and out came this really cool and colourful looking calendar with of course the characters of the Chinese zodiac. Although there is one character image that's a bit of a brow riser. You'll know what I mean. Not sure what they were thinking there.

Enlarged so you can see your Chinese zodiac character^
Um yeah LOL^

Cooing from the gang

Finally got a nice pic of one of my doves flying in the garage. OK its not perfect but maybe next time I'll get an actual face showing. “They're kind of shy any how” Its kind of hard using an ancient digital camera for the task, for a movement that quick. Oh well maybe next year.

The pics were taken before they went out to stay in their summer incloser so it was right around the time where the doves started to molt their feathers. They were looking rather ratty.

My youngest male all grown up.

I caught one flying. Look at the pic below.

The thing under the bed.

There's a Meetso under the bed.
I took this pic in the last few weeks of winter. But lucky for you no more looking at snow this year.
It was getting to the point where we had storm after storm and poor Meetso couldn't go out at night and have some fun. But then I wasn't going out much either other then to help clean out the snow. It was just too cold for walks any how so Meetso and I were starting to get a bit of cabin fever.
Meetso was acting in a crazy kitty playful mood one night. So he went about playing with his pompoms toy mice and dragging him self under the bed. It was a picture perfect moment to get these really cute shots.
Well as you know when you take pictures of kitties, like humans that get red eyes in shots I get the shiny green kitty eyes in Meetso. Got rid of those and flipped the pics over so you can see his cuteness.
Enjoy!

Flipped over and fixed.
