Rescued a little bag of bones kitten yesterday. She was stuck in a garage at a foreclosed home. I really don't know how she ended up in there but I know there was no way for her to get out. She must have been stuck there for weeks.

I was just passing though when I heard a noise and didn’t think much of it at first. But I ended up changing my mind and came back to the property to have another look and listen. This time it was really loud. A really loud distinctive mew, mew, mew is what I heard. I looked around to figure out as to where it exactly it was coming from. Apparently it was coming from a garage of an old house. I looked around the house to see if any one was home and I noticed a few papers stuck to the windows indicating foreclosure. Before I did any thing I contacted the nearby neighbors living next door of the houses but they really weren’t much help. So I when back to the garage with the crying kitten and looked around the little building for some kind of advantage. As I did that, the little kitten followed my actions, hopping on to a window ledge and pawing at the window pane. At least I knew now what the little rascal looked like. I gave her a few pieces of cat treat from my pack and shoved it though some tiny cracks. She pawed at them hungrily, scooped them up with her tiny paws and nearly taking out my finger as well. I then went around the building looking for a weakness and managed to find a place where the wood paneling was rotting. I yanked off the rotten piece of paneling and out came the hungry all black kitten. I gave it the rest of the cat treats I had in my pack and I again felt the full force of her little hungry teeth She was desperate for more and the little silly thing was wearing the bag on her face for awhile.
I had a pack since that's what I use when I'm biking to the mall or grocery store. I tried to go on with my business but the little black kitten followed along side me as I crossed the street. I wasn’t sure as to what to do. Should I take her home and upset the fragile peace of the family house hold or just leave her to her own devices. Luckily neighbor 2 houses down saw the goings on and directed me to another neighbor across the street who was apparently responsible for the little kitten. I came up to the door of the house with a slightly cracked open window so that her dog could get some fresh air and I yelled hello. Very convenient for me and thank goodness the dog apparently was friendly to cats and people too. The owner came to the door, was very thankful and gave me a big hug. I gave her the little bag of bones black kitten and explained the whole situation. She proceeded to give her explanation too about how she has another kitten like it and was looking for a home for both of them. Well it did save me from a disruption of peace at home but I still would have loved to have been able to give those 2 little cuties a great home with me, that is if I had a home of my own.
Life so sucks for me but at least it will be a good one for the kitten.

Anyone get something stuck in they're throats before?
Nothing more annoying then a seed stuck in your throat for several days. At least I think its still there? I really hope its not there since its really freaking me out. Ever since I heard about that story about this woman a few years ago I always get that uneasy feeling when something gets stuck in my throat for far too long.
There was this woman who got something caught in her throat from eating either steak or was it fruit, I can’t remember exactly. But what ever she ate a piece of it got caught in her throat and the membrane in her throat or what ever its called grew on top of it. It later pussed up and gave her all kinds of problems and I think she almost died. Since that article, it really freaks me out.
I am really going to avoid eating the seeds in grapes for now on. No matter how and what they say about grape seeds being good for you. Besides, I bet I can get the same thing from other things too only with out the worry. I’m also avoiding cherry pits too. Looks like I’m going to be in a bad mood for the next few days if this darn feeling doesn’t go away soon.

Oh yeah a small update in my hobby part of my web site. A new avatar for any one that’s interested.
As always you can find that part of my site in my links area or you can take this short cut. KTTSTV

Yippy! Looks like I fixed the scroll.
Still not sure why it did those weird things to begin with.
I’m not sure as to what’s going on but my scrolling marquee seems to be messed up. Every time I try to fix the code for what ever reason it reverts back to its screwy self. Then again it may be a Google thing. A new policy maybe?
Its not like it was true advertising but more of a giving credit to the place where I got the content from. In other words, just a link along with what’s coming up on the calendar.
It really boggles the mind.

In the mean time I thought I mention or give you a heads up on this really cool find I have been exploring for the past few months. I found this site where you can get thousands upon thousands of streaming radio stations from around the world and you don’t even need a player to stream them in although the owner of the site does have one that you can download. But I can’t make heads or tails as to get it to set up on my computer. Oh well, its still excellent source of streaming radio goodness.
Please note that for what ever reason, from time to time some radio stations do not work.

Boy, what a difference half a year can make. LOL As I said yesterday I finished Illustrating that children’s book a few months ago and the resulting fruits of my labor were very pleasing to the author. I’m almost done with my “to do” list and since a few weeks ago I upgraded to a new internet service. What a difference. So far so good. It also helps to be wireless. No more annoying cords all over the place for people to trip on and or damage. I also mentioned that I finally got that long elusive package I was expecting in the mail. Who knew it would take that long. So I finally get to upgrade my photoshop.

Besides all that, this year no new peach jam. I guess hot and humid summers are not a good mix for peaches. It was mold and then the darn resident squirrel that did all the peaches in. It was bad enough that he was talking them and then he brings his family along for the feast too. A gray female and two little black kittens or what ever you call two little annoying black squirrels.

Oh and then there were the grapes. These are the kinds the kind that ripen just after my peaches. They’re these super sweet little green grapes with out seeds that are more on the yellow side if they get to that point. But nope. The resident robin that comes back to our house every year d
ecided that they were too delicious for us people to eat and would promptly get rid of them before we had to taste them.
He also brought his annoying family too. So I ended up making this fake hawk out of foam and p
aper, painted it up and my dad placed it just above the grape vine. Unfortunately it didn’t work since he didn’t hang it properly and it ended up all tangled up on its fishing line est. None the less I still managed to sort of save a few bunches of grapes by placing a few plastic bags with little holes on a few of them. It worked some what since now when they got close to fully ripening but the insects started to have a go at them.
I had to pick them more sooner then I would have liked to.
Next year I’m going to stick those plastic bottles (the kinds used for water)with the tops cut off on to the bunches of grapes with the plastic bags. Maybe that’ll work.

Oh yeah the author and now friend has asked me to post this for any one that is interested and looking for a adventurous and beautiful getaway, also here's the rest of those zoo animal pics. ;)

Well here I am on the last day of the year. It has been a pretty productive year too. Apparently my doves have been productive as well. LOL The little buggers caught me off guard. Thinking 3 days out of the nest is all the eggs need to be infertile but noooooo. Obviously that little dove really has some strong genes in it. Yep you guessed it they managed to make another baby. This time they as in little Energizer bunnies with wings won't get away with it. Oh in case your wondering what took me so long to make any kind of peep, well I was just doing a bit of living outside the world why'll it was still nice. Well now its no longer nice and warm and so I hibernate in the indoors till spring of course. Besides I really didn't have any thing interesting to say which would bore the daylights out of you anyways. But at least more recently I have been working on illustrations for a children's book as noted in my creative log blog. At least that's something to write about. Oh and recently I discovered this really cool website where you can make and or learn how to make things. You can also share the things you make with others and if popular win occasional prizes. You can also give out constructive criticism and of course if you have a pro account you can give a patch of approval too. Makes you feel extra special. Feel free to check it out in a few days since its a bit dirty right now. Someone very naughty has spammed it with a naughty code but if your like me your anti-virus should block it. http://www.instructables.com/

Oh yeah, here's a few more pics from tw
o summers ago.

LOL
Enjoy and Happy "Mew" Year. Hopefully 2010 is a better year for all.

Well what can I say I been preoccupied with things. 1.Its nice out and I'm spending more time outdoors. 2. I'm doing a lot cooking and baking lately and if you kept track of my other blog I actually got a small gig designing a graphic of an angry snail for a guy's truck. Its done and on display. Go see it, its cute with a don't mess with me attitude. Yeah its actually good.

Oh and these guys have been busy on and off for many months now. They don't seem to get tired of it or hurt them selves either. In case you don't know what those crazy birds are up to, every day they come over to our house, go up to the windows near the fire place and take turns drumming the windows with their beaks. These days they seem to take brakes in between things and feed their offspring. I wonder what they see in the windows in order to want to peck at them so badly?
The pictures were taken earlier in the year.

And I'm back....... For now that is with all the March madness happening. Had a bunch of issues to take care of like my computer which is one of the reason you have heard less of me around. Had to get a new one. The old one was driving me crazy but of course the new one was doing the same thing with the learning curve as well. I still managed to get the old one to work for now since I thought my dad was going to use it but then he sort of chickened out as though it seems. I guess he's too proud to let me teach him the computer and internet basics. Maybe I'll try again this summer since were thinking of getting high speed though his phone company. Its a lot cheaper that way and hay its high speed internet. Can't wait. Getting my new computer not to mention again was also a real pain. First the sale service was less then stellar and then there was the expense. The price was actually pretty good for a 250 hard drive, x2 core, 4 gig computer but to me it was pricey. Oh well, at least I was able to pay it off. I only hope every thing is going to stay ok if you know what I mean, hence April fools. And now for some more pics.

Do you guys ever have strange encounters?

I was doing some bank errands last Friday and when I came out and this old lady whom I don’t really know asks me for a ride to a local shopping center? I was a bit flabbier gasted because normally complete strangers just don’t do that around here. I had encountered the woman before in various other places but never really paid attention. She wasn’t hag like but looked to be in her late 50’ early 60’s like the same age as my mother, give or take a few years. A few days before my mother and me went to the shopping center to do some shopping and there she was sitting on a bench. My mother and me were in a middle of a conversation (can’t
remember what we talked about) but any ways she piped up and commented about how cold it was outside. So any ways back to the bank eps, she mentions that she has a cold and would it be alright if I give her a ride. I thought about it a moment and proceeded to tell her that I had my dad with me and if she would like I’ll tell my dad that I know her from church so that my dad would not get weirded out. I also pointed out where the car was parked out and things like that and then for some odd reason she changes her mind. All I can say is, that’s just weird. I wonder if this is just one of those odd moments, or is it a lonely person and or do I have a strange stocker? Yikes!

Nope these penguins are not stocking any one but maybe for food. Fish any one.

And now for something not completely different. ;)

As promised more pics.
I hope every one has had a non boring Christmas and hopefully a non drinking one at that.
As for me I've been hard at work at my old company making some extra cash so haven't had a whole lot of time online.
Hope every one has a great New year. We can all use some new hope.

Normally I don't do late night blogging but this is one of those rare times I guess. Not much to post about other then that I really should get around to posting those zoo pics I already promised. Got to drive to a few short destinations with out an experienced driver but I still had a back seat driver if you know what I mean. :p But that's ok. Also lots of odd things happening with the utilities lately, the satellite seems to be acting strange like it would in a storm but at the time there wasn't a cloud in the sky and still is but we are expecting some snow. The electric also bit odd and even went out last morning. We even lost our water on Friday but then it came back. So strange, could it be aliens? LOL

Not aliens but animals, enjoy.

Yeah, it’s been awhile again.
I do have some legitimate excuses though. First of all my old company I use to work for called me back for some work and on site. The girl who replaced me btw is the boss's niece. She was apparently in a car accident and got whiplash. She is going to therapy but that's none of my business. I really have no qualms about it and fact I was glad leaving and or not being there full time. After all who wants to be there all day and get gassed by poisonous fumes via airbrushing large balloons and get meagre pay for all your sacrifice, but its still good for some extra money part time work. But working there all day really takes all your energy out of you so at the end of the day all you want to do is take your shower, eat and go to bed.
Other then that, I finally passed that test. Yay! After the forth attempt, I finally nailed it and now I have a license to kill……well no not really. LOL

Wow that was fast. Earlier I had ordered these two books with the help of a gift card I earned with Air miles and the next week they're already here. And then come labour day I won some software at Ebay at an phenomenal price of around 61 dollars which would normally cost around 700 when new. How lucky is that. I so appreciate that since I really needed those things but I wasn't expecting to get them so fast. I guess when opportunity knocks, it knocks fast.

Unlike fish tanks, you should never knock on them. It gives the fish headaches. ;)

Monday, September 01, 2008

It’s been awhile I know. I spent most of August making peach jam from our tree, which had less peaches compared to last year. But because I didn't can any this year, we had just enough. Some thought maybe, too much. They got tired just watching me apparently and yet no one offered to at least help me prepare them. Turned out really nice n tasty. I had a combination of hard and soft jam but I prefer the soft more liquidly jam since its multi purpose. Good on ice cream, good on bread and yummy in desert. I gave a big jar of it to my favorite hairdresser who in turn gave me a jar of rich green pesto. A few weeks later I decided to try out the pesto in some pasta. I was unsure how this extremely green glop was going to taste like, but I have had weird things to eat and weirder looking food still so I thought what the heck. I cooked some pasta in the shape of shells and when that was done, I poured in half of the pesto and after mixing the now green pasta I took a taste. It really didn't taste like much but only looked ferociously green. So added some garlic powder, some margarine and some salt to taste. Did I mention it was green? I guess it was ok now. It was edible but my dad seemed to like it more then me. Most recently went to a green house and then a zoo. The green house is not what it use to be but is more of an arcade with lots of kid games and crappy imported souvenirs made from China. But there are still plenty traditional things you see and experience like the plants, organic food and the petting zoo, but it was better when my aunt came to Canada to visit. I took a few pics of the petting zoo so I’ll be posting you some little picture moments and yes even some of the zoo in the next few posts. As for today I enjoyed the last of the rotisserie barbequed chicken with my homemade stuffing. Every one seems to think it turned out really nice, hence the lack of leftovers. Darn, I’m hungry oh well. I hope every one had a nice n happy Labor day.
This poor gal wanted so much attention she would make such loud squawking and wing flaps to get us to come back.
This guy was looking for some lady fingers. ;)

Before I forget, yet more belated spring pics. Should be the last group of these. Next up, my trip to a green house/petting zoo/cafeteria.

Tuesday, July 08, 2008

Man, after all that rain we've been having, and it was the rainiest June since the 60's. It seems we have loads of insects this year especially ants and mosquitoes. The carpenter ants have made them selves at home in our kitchen. You can see them running around on the counter. First one, then two then, fore more. Escorting them out the door doesn't seem to help either. Oh well, if you can't beat them, join them. I left them a small stick of honey on the counter and they seem to appreciate it. They haven't brought their wrath against us humans. Yet ;) I would rather only have a few ants on the counter then to bomb the whole house with unneeded poisons, and or have those long legged centipedes come and join me in the bathroom any day.

More belated spring pics.
A little behind on things. Oh well.

Tuesday, July 01, 2008

Happy Birthday Canada. I hope every one had a pleasant one today. I really need to make some Canada themed art work in the future. Any how, mostly spent it working on some artwork in my dungeon like basement. I took a few pics but I sort of have to crop some things out before I show them off a bit. You can check out the latest stuff I'm working out in my Creative blog. Just go to the link in the scrolling events. In the mean time please enjoy these belated spring pics of Blue wasteria vines. LOL

When it rains out today the snails all come out to play.

Careful, don't step on them, fore they are having tea. ;) :p
Actually I think they have something else on their mind. ;)
