The better frog pics

I have some more frog pics taken last year. Better ones this time. And oh yeah long time no see.
But it seems that our resident frogs decided to leave us. Why? Who knows. It could have been because it was really wet this year which gave them more leeway for choices. But then again, maybe I was a bit too nosy taking a peak at their goings on every day and sometimes several times during the day. I would be annoyed too. But then they are frogs we're talking about. Maybe they didn't like the over growth of the butter cups. If you don't know what those are, there really obnoxious but deadly beautiful flower weeds. They have a bad habit of establishing and taking over every part of your yard. Oh yeah they're poisonous too. They are known to make cows blind after they ate some. Just like the other problem we have, we also have an annoying English ivy problem. That is another issue. Anyways in the end who knows why the frogs left. I really hope they come back. I really enjoyed the enhanced and added pleasant atmosphere they brought to the pond. Maybe we'll have others that will come. 😾

Frogs in the koi pond

Yes! Only a few more weeks till spring and Feb is just about done.
In the mean time enjoy these pics from last year I took of some green/bronze frogs that decided to spend the good seasons in our pond. I hope they comeback again this season. Last year it really was a banner year for them because we never had so many in one small pond. Only one of them I think actually did the singing. But we did have many babies as a result. I didn't see any of the tadpoles though.  They sound a bit like someone strumming on a rubber band affixed to a cardboard box. Reminds me of an old lady talking on a phone. Go and look it up. Pretty freaky when you first hear them.

Its a bit difficult to see but if you look in the corner you can see a frog in each pic.

To the watering hole

Sunday was a great day for Meetso to take a break from hunting in the great jungle that is our back yard and relax by our busy little watering hole. The water fall babbled while the light from a bright sunny day danced on the water's surface. The koi fish large and small frolicked in the water causing the new addition of water plants to move from their places. A spider's web hung like a shiny chandler just above the water probably constructed last night to catch supper for a spider.

After that I when in to the downstairs kitchen and made my last batch of strawberry jam for the year. I burnt half of my hand from a exploding jam jar. I had freshly boiled strawberry jam poured in to a jar and then when I went to screw the top on tight, it exploded on me and all over. I was burning in pain of course. So luckily I was very close to the sink. So I ran the cold water and placed my hand under the water. I then filled a near by pot with cold water and place my throbbing hand in that. Later my dad came down the stairs to see how my jam was progressing and saw me in my predicament. He handed me a ice pack from the near by freezer and I placed it in to the pot of water and stuck my hand in again. I held it there for at least 15 mins or more till the pain wasn’t that bad. Then next day things were back to normal. Thank God!. This is like the 3d time I had something searing hot fall on my skin. I healed quite quickly with no real residual effects.

Belated Meetso

I was going to share these earlier but with all the craziness of stuff to do it just wasn’t possible. Now its just another type of craziness and catching up to do. So far I managed to get some clip art done, some spring cleaning but more to be done, gone out, checked countless emails, planted seeds, planted plants.

Still have to post a few posts in my blogs which I'm currently doing, finish some unfinished personal projects, work on other personal projects so I can have some new things in my portfolios, freshen up my web site since its looking a bit dated, make more clip art before the next paying project, make some jam and probably other things if I get the chance. Yup my plate is full.

Anyways these pics of Meetso were taken last fall. Meetso was in a real playful mood so I thought I catch some of his funny antics mostly playing among the blue wisteria.

Batting some ribbon among the blue wisteria.^

Meetso spots a morning dove near the water fall for the small koi pond. ^

Meetso sniffing around for mice. Such a poser. ^

Meetso looking down at the world. My favorite pic. I just love the colours and the pose. ^

 Looking all cute. ^

Play with me, if you dare!.........^

 NahNah!......^

 Pekaboooooo!........^

Last night he caught his forth bunny. Bad kitty! Although I admire his excellent hunting skills and it’s a great use for catching pests such as mice, squirrels and rats I would really love it if he leave the bunnies alone. Btw I usually catch those bunnies and let them go in a neighbors yard near a park when Meetso is not looking.

Wow that was fast. Earlier I had ordered these two books with the help of a gift card I earned with Air miles and the next week they're already here. And then come labour day I won some software at Ebay at an phenomenal price of around 61 dollars which would normally cost around 700 when new. How lucky is that. I so appreciate that since I really needed those things but I wasn't expecting to get them so fast. I guess when opportunity knocks, it knocks fast.

Unlike fish tanks, you should never knock on them. It gives the fish headaches. ;)

It’s been awhile I know. I spent most of August making peach jam from our tree, which had less peaches compared to last year. But because I didn't can any this year, we had just enough. Some thought maybe, too much. They got tired just watching me apparently and yet no one offered to at least help me prepare them. Turned out really nice n tasty. I had a combination of hard and soft jam but I prefer the soft more liquidly jam since its multi purpose. Good on ice cream, good on bread and yummy in desert. I gave a big jar of it to my favorite hairdresser who in turn gave me a jar of rich green pesto. A few weeks later I decided to try out the pesto in some pasta. I was unsure how this extremely green glop was going to taste like, but I have had weird things to eat and weirder looking food still so I thought what the heck. I cooked some pasta in the shape of shells and when that was done, I poured in half of the pesto and after mixing the now green pasta I took a taste. It really didn't taste like much but only looked ferociously green. So added some garlic powder, some margarine and some salt to taste. Did I mention it was green? I guess it was ok now. It was edible but my dad seemed to like it more then me. Most recently went to a green house and then a zoo. The green house is not what it use to be but is more of an arcade with lots of kid games and crappy imported souvenirs made from China. But there are still plenty traditional things you see and experience like the plants, organic food and the petting zoo, but it was better when my aunt came to Canada to visit. I took a few pics of the petting zoo so I’ll be posting you some little picture moments and yes even some of the zoo in the next few posts. As for today I enjoyed the last of the rotisserie barbequed chicken with my homemade stuffing. Every one seems to think it turned out really nice, hence the lack of leftovers. Darn, I’m hungry oh well. I hope every one had a nice n happy Labor day.
This poor gal wanted so much attention she would make such loud squawking and wing flaps to get us to come back.
This guy was looking for some lady fingers. ;)

Went to a small park-et called Colchester harbor last weak after a drive with my dad. A nice little park-et with a marina and small beach. Really nice, clean and quite private. I managed to take a few pics of the area but not exactly the ones I was hoping to get. They had this fox snake with the thickness of my big tow sunning its self on a rock but wasn't quick enough to capture it on film, the same with the cute family of mallard ducks with there babies because of people shyness. Sigh... Oh well here's some boring pics I took.

BTW last week I just installed some new software so wasn't online for a bit.
But now at least it let me know who was trying to attack my computer. Here are the following IP's;
